WILSON COUNTY PRO-LIFE ORATORY CONTEST FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The 15th annual Wilson County Right to Life Pro-Life Oratory Contest will be held at a date to be announced in 2020 in Lebanon, TN. The participants will be required to research, write and present an original pro-life speech choosing from the topics of abortion, euthanasia, infanticide, or stem cell research. The event will be held again at the Comfort Suites in Lebanon. For additional info and contest entry forms, email info@WilsonCountyRightToLife.com.


Violet Thorne was the first place winner of the 2019 Wilson County Right to Life Pro-Life Oratory Contest for high school students.which was held Saturday, April 6, 2019 in Lebanon at the Comfort Suites of Lebanon.. Judges were Pastor Larry Grainger and Sabrina Jones. Participants researched, wrote, and presented an original pro-life speech which was chosen from topics including abortion, euthanasia, infanticide, or stem cell research. Violet won the contest by speaking on the topic of abortion and received $100 in prize money. She advanced to the 2019 Tennessee Oratory Contest on April 27, 2019 at Aquinas College in Nashville where she competed against other county winners from across the state for additional cash prizes. The winner of the State Oratory Contest was Lindsey White who went on to represent Tennessee at the National Right to Life Oratory Contest held during the National Right to Life Convention on July 6, 2019 in Charleston, South Carolina.


Tennessee Right to Life works to protect human life through: education, advocacy, organization, and benevolence.
